Services About How We Work Contact

Independent sale & purchase and chartering brokerage

We put the right vessel in the right hands, and the right cargo on the right ship.

D SEA arranges sale & purchase, chartering, newbuilding and marine consultancy for owners, operators and charterers across dry bulk, tankers and general cargo — built on relationships that hold up when a deal gets difficult.

Four desks, one line of accountability

Every mandate is handled by a broker who stays on the file from first enquiry to final signature — no handoffs, no diluted commission chains.

Sale & Purchase

Vessel appraisal, buyer and seller introduction, negotiation and closing support for bulk carriers, tankers and general cargo tonnage.

Chartering

Voyage and time charter fixtures across dry bulk and tanker segments, matched against live position lists and cargo enquiries.

Newbuilding Supervision

Yard selection, contract negotiation and on-site supervision through specification, steel-cutting and sea trials.

Marine Consultancy & Surveys

Condition surveys, valuation reports and technical due diligence to support financing, insurance and P&I matters.

Brokers, not intermediaries chasing a spread

D SEA was founded on the view that a brokerage should be judged on how few surprises a client encounters after signing — not on how quickly a fixture note can be issued.

We work a deliberately short client list. Each mandate is led by a senior broker with direct market relationships in that vessel class, and every commission is disclosed before, not after, a deal is struck.

How a mandate runs

The same four stages, whether we're placing a single handysize or supervising a newbuilding series.

01

Enquiry & brief

We take the mandate directly from the principal — owner, buyer or charterer — and confirm scope, timeline and commercial terms before any name is circulated.

02

Market appraisal

Vessel or cargo is benchmarked against live comparables, and a shortlist of genuine counterparties is drawn from our own relationships, not a mass circular.

03

Negotiation

Terms are negotiated point by point with the principal briefed at each stage, through to a recap or memorandum of agreement both sides can stand behind.

04

Closing & delivery

We stay on the file through documentation, inspection and delivery or laycan, and remain the point of contact for anything that arises after.

Speak to the desk

Send a mandate, a vessel enquiry, or a cargo position — a broker will come back to you directly, not a call centre.
